KEITH Mitchell drew a lot of criticism for his assertive push to cut library services instead of social care.
He brought much of it upon himself, but as we reveal today it was motivated more by personal experience than political dogma and you have to at least respect that.
Similarly, though, as hard as he fought on the issue, at least there was a recognition of the public mood and a bend towards that by the council.
