TESCO is determined to have a shop in every part of Oxford and I am not surprised by concerns that it will open a shop in Jericho.

This will definitely threaten the character of the area and also seriously undermine the other treasured local shops. Tesco is neither needed nor wanted in Jericho.

In the past I have watched as people objected to the proposal to open Tesco shops in other parts of Oxford, only to see them shopping there once the shop is opened.

If we are serious about keeping Tesco out, how about a boycott of Tesco stores in areas where there is still choice?

We need to show Tesco it is not wanted.
