Ardington bagged their first three points of the season with a 4-0 home win against Berinsfield. The scoreline suggests an easy win, but this certainly wasn’t the case.
Harvey Offill got off the mark to make it 1-0, but Berinsfield came back very strongly and put Ardington under a lot of pressure in the first half with LD from Berinsfield forcing a number of saves by Ardington’s keeper Luke Johnson and good clearances by Jamie Palmer and Oliver Kearvell.
It wasn’t until the second half when Ardington managed to relieve the pressure, Harvey Offill scored again to make it 2-0, and then bagged a hat-trick by latching onto a goal kick and converting.
Ollie Madge added a fourth to put the game out of sight. A well rounded performance from Ardington from defence, midfield and attack and a good win to get them off the mark.
