MORE than 40 football fans took part in a charity tournament for cancer awareness.
The five-a-side football competition was held at Oxford Brookes Centre for Sports in Headington and raised money for Everyman, a prostate and testicular cancer charity.
PE teacher Liam Cooper, 26, from London, took part in the tournament with Team Reem, a team of his friends from Oxford, and ended up winning the final 1-0.
Defender Liam, third from left, said: “One of my friends found out about it. We all play football quite a lot but this was the first time we have played together.
“We got a trophy. The tournament was really good fun and quite competitive. If they did it again we would take part.”
There were around eight teams taking part in the tournament which took place on Friday, September 31.
