REGARDING the Suez Canal Zone Campaign Reunion in May 2012, and a visit there.
I organise return visits to the zone where I served in the 1950s along with thousands of other service personnel.
I am organising a trip and know that many service people who live in your area were stationed there during the troubled times of the ‘50s.
Many of our service personnel died and are buried in the cemeteries which we visit: Ismailia, Fayid, Moascar and Tel el Kebir.
I can arrange for photographs to be taken of any friends or loved one’s grave, if any reader would like me to.
And if any would like to join us on our next group, could they please contact me for details.
We will be visiting Cairo and staying in a hotel in Fayid, over-looking the Great Bitter Lakes, and visiting other places in the Canal Zone.
Places are limited to 30 on this reunion visit due to the fact that this is still a military restricted area. Spouses are welcome.
