Kidlington Youth Celtic took all 3 points in a very entertaining game against Marston Saints.
Kidlington opened the scoring after 15 mins when Raphael Rice ran onto a through ball from Ciaran Murphy to slot the ball past the Marston Keeper. Marston Equalised when Samuel Marshall scored from close range following a corner. Will Newcombe restored Kidlington's lead just before half time when he shot from close range following a goalmouth scramble. After some early seconfd half Pressure from Marston in which they won a corner Lochlann Craig fired home from close range to level the scores. With time running out Marston failed to deal with a high ball into the penalty area and Will Newcombe was alert to loft the ball over the keeper to win the game for Kidlington. Full marks to the referee Nigel Huish who in the hot conditions halted the game midway through the second half to allow the young players to have some drinks.
