ON Saturday, September 24, a group of dedicated volunteers, led by Kevin Boneham, staged the Bodirox Festival, in Bodicote.
This was such a huge success and I feel it deserves a mention in your paper. We had the privilege of being entertained by 12 local bands and artistes who gave up their free time to play to an audience of around 650.
Our extensive raffle, donations to which came from local people and businesses, adds to the success of achieving £4,050 for our designated charities: Help For Heroes, Katherine House Hospice and a launch for an appeal for a much-needed bladder scanner (for E-Ward at Horton General Hospital).
I would like to say a big thank you to all who attended or volunteered their time, talents and energy to this amazing achievement.
JOHN MORGAN, Horse & Jockey, Malthouse Lane, Bodicote
