DRESSED as soldiers from the armies of Napoleon and Wellington, a band of re-enactors passed through Oxfordshire on a march to raise funds for street children.
They were taking part in Sharpe’s March, a 50-mile trek from Marlborough in Wiltshire to Reading.
The group was raising money for The Sharpe’s Children Foundation to help orphaned street children around the world.
One of the leading lights of the foundation is actor Daragh O’Malley, who played Sgt Patrick Harper in the Sharpe TV series.
Foot soldiers and an artillery detachment joined the cavalry, pictured, for the three-day exercise.
