Today the Oxford Mail reports on a planning inspector’s views on the draft core strategy for South Oxfordshire and where it thinks extra homes should be wedged.
The council wanted Wheatley removed from the Green Belt to allow more homes to be built.
However, the concern was it would pave the way for urban sprawl across to Cowley and, effectively, expand the city.
Rather ironic that South Oxfordshire had its own worries when Grenoble Road was earmarked for development.
