If anyone was in any doubt as to the nasty Tories’ (and Lib Dems’) policies, then look no further than the Health and Social Care Bill affecting the NHS and going to the House of Lords soon.
No less than two Freedom of Information requests have found that chief executive Sir David Nicholson, is not only on £200k a year but has a luxury Westminster apartment, a chauffeured car and lodging expenses three times that of an MP. He racked up expenses of £154k in four years. Good work, if you can get it!
The second revelation, through the same source, found senior NHS bosses negotiating through US consultants McKinsey’s for commercial companies to run NHS hospitals.
I think it’s pretty obvious that this second revelation will result in a profit first, patient second scenario.
If it takes undercover Freedom of Information searches to find out these facts the nasty Con/Dems are trying to keep from us, does that destroy the myth that the NHS is safe in either of their grubby hands?
The people of the UK and particularly here in Oxfordshire have got to resist this Bill for the sake of our beloved NHS.
It may not be perfect but I’m convinced the vast majority of people, if in receipt of the facts, will reject this, wholeheartedly.
