I read with dismay in your paper last week that our local council, West Oxfordshire District Council, is considering yet more housing in our area.
More than 2,500 new homes are being proposed by developers in Carterton and nearby villages.
I do hope that extra roads/schools etc will be built to take the extra traffic as it could mean at least 2,500 extra cars in and around our area.
Can our local roads take it? I doubt it! I suppose the council will be satisfied when everything in our countryside has been covered in concrete.
Thanks for a great local paper.
