STAFF at a convenience store in Grove were robbed at knifepoint by three men.
The men stole cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of money from McColls in Millbrook Square just before 10pm on Friday. No one was injured.
Caroline Gleed, sales assistant at nearby off-licence The Bottle Top, said: “It is quite scary because they could have easily targeted here. The poor people who work there must have been absolutely petrified.
“Taking a knife to someone and threatening them, and wearing masks, is just cowardly.
“They should be locked up and the key thrown away.”
One of the men was described as in his mid to late 20s, approximately 5ft 1in tall and of slim build. He was wearing black trousers and a hooded top with light and dark coloured horizontal stripes. The other two were aged about 23 and of slim to medium build. One was about 6ft tall and was wearing a blue or black hooded top and a black scarf covering his face.
The other was shorter and wore dark clothing and a scarf covering his face.
Witnesses can call Dc Jon Shaw on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
