How well do you think you know Oxford?
Modern Art Oxford is about to find out with its latest venture.
The gallery is inviting visitors of all ages to take part in The Big Draw on Saturday, October 8, by creating a giant map of Oxford from memory.
Sarah Plumb, project manager at Modern Art Oxford, said: “It does not matter if you are from Oxford or just visiting for the day, drop in and take part in this free event.
“Whether you are a parent or grandparent looking for somewhere to entertain the little ones, or simply popping into the Gallery on your lunch break or between shopping trips, come along and get drawing.”
The map will be inspired by themes in the gallery’s latest exhibitions and budding artists will be joined by Bram Thomas Arnold, who explores the nature of walking through drawing.
Held annually, The Big Draw is a nationwide event organised by the Campaign for Drawing which aims to engage people with the act of drawing.
It takes place at more than 1,600 venues across the country.
