A CHARITY worker is to climb the world’s tallest free-standing mountain for the cause she works for.
Tessa Stanley Price, 25, manages the philanthropy team at FARM-Africa, and joins a team of executives from the food and drinks sector to climb Kilimanjaro.
The group set out this week to travel to Tanzania for an eight-day trek to the top of the African mountain.
Jointly the team, which includes Sainsbury’s group commercial director and a former director general of the National Farmers Union, have raised £210,000.
Ms Stanley Price, of Oddington, near Bicester, has spent weekends trekking through Wales’ Brecon Beacons and along the Pembrokeshire coastal path, as well as gym work and runs around Otmoor to get fit for the challenge.
