STAFF at an Oxford city centre shop have been wearing tea cosies for charity.
The unusual fundraiser yesterday raised funds for the White Stuff Foundation.
For a second year, shoppers were encouraged to put a tea cosy on their head and join in the fun on annual Wear Your Tea Cosy on Your Head Day.
Manager of the White Stuff branch in High Street Lisa Smyth, pictured with staff member Helen Warrington, said: “As a company we set up a charitable foundation. It’s a bit of fun. Any customers who came in with a tea cosy on their head got a free gift of Clipper tea.
“Every shop has its own local charity as well and so we support SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn And their Parents) at the JR hospital.”
