A key inquiry into a controversial road scheme will restart today.
The public inquiry into the compulsory purchase of land for the Cogges Link Road was due to start on Tuesday. But about 150 people attended – almost three times the capacity of the room, at Eynsham Hall in North Leigh.
The inquiry was adjourned and will restart at the larger Methodist Church in High Street, Witney, from 10am.
The link road aims to reduce congestion and pollution in Bridge Street and will run from Oxford Hill to Station Lane.
