FAMILIES enjoyed the last of a series of summer fun days staged by the Oxfordshire Play Association at the Hill End residential centre in Farmoor.
The group, which runs projects to encourage play across the county, has put on four Playday events at venues across Oxfordshire since July. Saturday’s event included circus skills workshops, junk drumming, scrap making and an assault course.
Rush Common Primary School pupil Liam Steel, 10, from Abingdon, dressed up in a sumo suit to take on pal Oliver Hodgson in combat.
He said: “It was really fun, but the suit was really heavy.”
Liam’s dad Colin Steel added: “There was a lot of good things there.
“They had a lot of making things out of scrap rubbish and things.”
