Didcot were forced to make two changes before the game when both Jordan Smith and Isaac Alder were injured in the warm up. The game was played mostly in the midfield with Didcot passing the ball well through Will Baker finding Matty Brown and George Kay at every opportunity and forcing the Hinksey keeper to make some really good saves to keep them in the game.
The game's opening goal came from Hinksey when Adam Iveson scored from the right hand side going in off the post after Didcot failed to clear their lines. At the other end Matty Brown had two good chances and Joe Marriott just failed with a far post header. Casuals equalised when a Hinksey player handled in the area and Joe Marriott slotted home from the spot.
The second half was an entertaining one with both sides having chances but the home side went ahead when Joseph Hamlyn had a simple tap in after the ball beat AJ Hart at the near post. Didcot had several chances with Hinksey defending with last ditch tackles until five minutes from time when Joe Marriott lobbed the keeper to ensure Casuals took a deserved point.
