OXFORDSHIRE is a great place to live if you love indulging in food, according to Raymond Blanc.
And the Michelin starred chef, who has been running county restaurants for four decades, should know.
He hailed our increasing interest in locally sourced produce at a food and wine festival at Oxford Castle at the weekend.
It’s good news for the county economy but also the health of its residents which, like the rest of the UK, is threatened by the attraction of processed food and junk food.
We’d urge residents to give local producers a try. Who knows, the drive to buy local could spread to other industries and lead to a revival of home grown enterprise.
