A man accused of wielding a machete in an attempted shop robbery has appeared in court.
Martyn Shorter, 34, came before Oxford Crown Court on Friday charged with assault with intent to rob.
The charge relates to an alleged incident at the Co-op store in Rose Hill on September 7.
Shorter, of Rose Hill, was not required to enter a plea and was remanded in custody until November 25.
