An Oxford company held a day of events to raise money for East Oxford hospice charity Helen & Douglas House.
PPC Worldwide, based in Oxford Business Centre, trained up staff at the hospice in improving finance, IT, management and sales skills and organised a “negotiator challenge” – aiming to get local companies to donate goods or services for an online auction and raffle in aid of the cause.
They also painted garden furniture for the two hospices.
The company has been supporting the charity for two years, providing free legal and financial advice and telephone counselling. They have also organised charity events including bring and buy bake sales, and Wii Sports tournaments.
The organisation hopes to have raised in excess of £1,000 with the event, which took place on Thursday.
