A charity is hoping the people of Oxfordshire can hack it as they pull on their hiking boots.
The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) is holding its sponsored hike through the Cotswolds later this month.
Known as a HACK – Hike Against Cruelty to Kids – it involves walking up to 22 miles, starting and finishing in Cornbury Park, Charlbury, on September 24, and is supported by the Oxford Mail.
The Cotswolds HACK, which took place for the first time last year, raised more than £21,000 for the children’s charity.
Money raised will go towards counsellors, centres for children and their families, and giving support to staff in the community.
A total of 11 HACKs take place across the country, including North Wales, Perthshire and Northern Ireland. Last year’s events raised £220,000.
