Rail enthusiasts are expected to be out in force tomorrow to see the first steam train to run on the Cotswold Line since completion of track redoubling work last month.
The Cathedrals Express will run from Birmingham to London Paddington and back via Worcester, Oxford and Didcot, powered by Great Western Railway Castle class locomotive Earl of Mount Edgcumbe.
It is due to pass Ascott-under-Wychwood at 9.30am before stopping at Charlbury to pick up passengers from 9.36am to 9.48am.
It will pass through Oxford just after 10am then stop for water before passing Didcot at 11am.
The return journey sees the train pass Didcot at 5.40pm and Oxford at 6.40pm, calling at Charlbury at 7pm.
