STAFF at a builders’ merchants in Oxford joined customers for a bacon butty to raise funds for a cancer charity.
At Johnsons Buildbase in Cowley staff celebrated the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, the firm’s chosen charity this year.
Staff offered hot drinks and a bacon butty in return for a donation to the charity on Friday.
Buildbase and its parent company Grafton Merchandising GB are aiming to raise a total of £200,000 for the Macmillan Support Line, a free phone service, providing support to 1,000 people affected by cancer every day.
Johnsons Buildbase spokesman Craig Tarrant said: “We thought it would be a good idea to add some refreshments as part of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.”
