A man is caught on camera smashing the window of a take-away - and now, desperate managers are pleading with the community to help save them from the hooded menace.
Images caught on CCTV camera at Crown Curry in Atkins Road in Wood Farm, Oxford, on Friday evening show how an out-of-control yob reacted when he was asked to leave after abusing staff.
He picks up a wooden ramp used for wheelchair access and smashes it into the window.
Managers of the Crown Curry have released the images to the Oxford Mail in a desperate plea for members of the community and police to help.
Manager Shamsia Hoque said staff have been subjected to verbal abuse and vandalism from youths for the past three years but Friday's attack was the final straw.
Mrs Hoque said: "We want everyone to know we want some help. We want this to stop."
Mrs Hoque said the teenager had been banned from the take-away - as well as local shops - but entered Crown Curry on Friday at 9.30pm.
Knowing he was barred due to previous problems, staff asked him to leave and he hurled verbal abuse.
Once outside the take-away the footage shows the youth searching for a weapon to vandalise the building.
Mrs Hoque said: "He came with his hood on so people couldn't recognise him. He came in and started being verbally abusive towards my husband Najibul. Najibul asked him to leave but he was angry.
"He lifted up the access ramp for the disabled and hurled it so the window smashed in front of everyone in the take away.
"He had no fear or thought about people he might hurt and was totally out of control - just because he was asked to leave. If people had been sitting on the sofa at the time they could be been seriously hurt."
In the past three years, the take-away has been forced to call police to incidents including a youth throwing a waste bin at staff.
Mrs Hoque said "It is an ongoing problem and happens more to us because we are open later.
"The police and street wardens know what happens but it continues. But I don't think we are the only people being treated like this.
"We don't want to close down because of all the nuisance. We care about our customers."
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "Police carried out searches of the area within 10 minutes of the call but the offender was not located and our inquiries continue."
