What a complete joke BBC’s Question Time has become. I have to wonder if some people are invited on just for the ‘shock’ factor.

One US gentleman said, with a straight face, that Saddam had broken several UN sanctions, therefore justifying the attack on Iraq.

I wonder if he actually realises, as pointed out by several audience members, that Israel has broken more resolutions than any other country?

I was absolutely gobsmacked too, with the revelation from the neo-con ‘Prince of Darkness’ himself, Richard Perle, that the war in Iraq gave inspiration to the Arab Spring.

This farcical line, crying out for more justification for death, was backed up by the war-loving David Milliband, who repeated Madeline Albright’s infamous comment, it was a price worth paying. She was referring to half a million Iraqi kids killed by UN sanctions, he was referring to a country totally devastated and a million dead.

Liam Fox, who bravely sends our soldiers into danger from the comfort of the Ministry of Defence, actually stated we should be proud of what we’re doing in Afghanistan.

Tariq Ali pointed out that Iraq and Afghanistan were both corrupt, broken and lawless countries, with infrastructure destroyed and people still dying every day.

He also stated, quite logically, that an Arab Spring like revolution could have unseated Saddam.

Though maybe we couldn’t guarantee ownership of their oil!

Instead we invade and attack three countries, killing countless numbers but, hey, they get to vote and get a purple thumb!

The Palestinians got to vote, but they unfortunately voted in the wrong government and look what’s happening to them. Great thing democracy!
