Oxford and Cherwell Valley opened their English Colleges League programme in stunning fashion with an 8-2 win over over new boys Thomas Paine at Thetford Town.
Fielding seven first-year debutants in the starting line-up, Oxford opened the scoring when Jetmir Kamberi lifted the ball over the diving keeper.
Thomas Paine rallied to level the game at 2-2 with Kamberi grabbing his second for Oxford, who then struck twice in three minutes through Stephen Davis and Tom Millar to lead at the break.
Oxford pulled away in the second half with three goals in 14 minutes.
Davis volleyed home his second, before Miller lobbed the Thomas Paine keeper from 30 yards.
Second-half substitute Deshawn Whiteman stroked home Oxford's seventh, and man-of-the-match Jack Dunmall completed the rout with No 8.
