A GANG of four men raided a supermarket and made off with the cash from an ATM machine.
Police were called at 1.44am this morning after burglars smashed their way into the Co-op store in High Street, Bloxham.
The men used an angle grinder to cut their way into the cash cassette boxes from the shop's cash machine.
The amount stolen is not known but it is thought to be considerable.
The burglars, believed to be four men, then fled at high speed in a dark blue Audi along the A361 in the direction of Chipping Norton.
Police said all four men had large builds and were all wearing face coverings.
PC Bryn Smith said: “I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, who may have seen the break-in or heard anything suspicious.
“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen the Audi leaving the scene, or saw it in the area after the break-in and saw where it went.
Anyone with information should contact police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
