MEMBERS of Headington Women’s Institute celebrated their 45th birthday in 1963 with a tea party.
An iced cake, decorated with the music and words of the first two lines of the WI favourite, Jerusalem, was cut by Mrs West, who was president of the branch from 1939 to 1942.
The cake was iced and decorated by Mrs C P Deacock.
The picture, right, was taken as the party was in full swing at Highfield Hall, Headington.
