l Jamal Khan, 24, of Mill Street, Oxford, admitted shoplifting food valued at £8.05 from Sainsbury’s in Oxford on May 6 and committing another offence while subject to a conditional discharge. Fined £35 and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
l June Cross, 29, of Asquith Road, Oxford, admitted failing to notify the Department of Work and Pensions and Oxford City Council about a change in circumstances — namely that she was now working — affecting her entitlement to benefit, between November 4, 2008, and December 1, 2009. Fined £85, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £75 costs.
l Luke Grant, 25, of no fixed address, admitted attempting to shoplift meat valued at £40.71 from Co-op in Didcot on April 23. Jailed for 28 days due to previous convictions.
l Jose Phillips, 50, of no fixed address, admitted begging in public in Cowley Road, Oxford, between April 20 and 24. Fined £50, a £15 victims’ surcharge, deemed paid by detention at court until end of the day.

Darren Hall, 48, of Eastern Avenue, Reading, convicted of obstructing a police constable in the execution of their duty in Abingdon on December 6. Fined £150, a £15 victim’ surcharge and £350 costs. Banned from driving for 18 months.

Gunesh Sukriev, 18, of Salesian Gardens, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with a community order by failing to make himself available when G4S staff visited on April 28, 29 and May 1. Curfew extended.

Ashley Powell, 21, of Lansdowne Road, Faringdon, admitted breaching a community order by failing to attend supervision on May 4. Given 100 hours’ unpaid work, 12 months’ supervision and told to attend the education, training and employment course for eight days.
Jelroy Constant, 24, of Nuthatch Close, Oxford, admitted breaching a restraining order between February 12 and May 22. Given a 10-week curfew and told to pay £85 costs.
