FLASH flooding hit Oxfordshire yesterday as downpours hit the region.
Firefighters were called to three reports of flooding.
They were called to Stockham Way, Wantage, at 10.47am and Rectory Lane, Woodstock, at 11.22am, to reports of blocked drains overflowing.
They were called again at 11.23am, to Banbury Road, Summertown, Oxford, because a resident was concerned their home would end up flooded.
A spokesman said: "In all three cases an officer went to assess the situation and no action was taken."
He said the flooding had subsided by early afternoon.
The Oxford Times also received reports of flooding in Sutton Courtenay and in Oxford, in Cornmarket Street and under the railway bridge on Botley Road at about 11am.
Cyclists were forced to get off and walk along the path under the bridge. The flooding had subsided by early afternoon.
An Environment Agency spokesman said there was a heavy rain warning in place up to 8pm last night but said that the rain appeared to be clearing.
He said: "We will continue to monitor the situation."
