A convoy of striking Citroen 2CV cars snaked its way through Oxfordshire for a national rally.

More than 700 enthusiasts arrived at Cokethorpe School, near Witney, for the rally, hosted by Oxford’s Deux Chevaux Blanc club.

On Sunday the enthusiasts drove into Oxford and set up in Christ Church Meadow, for visitors to admire the cars.

Marshall and club member Vanessa Harrison, pictured left, dressed up as Alice in Wonderland for the occasion.

She said: “We had lots of feedback from people saying it’s the best one they have been to.

“Everyone was smiling when they saw us.”

Mrs Harrison has been riding and driving around in 2CVs for 33 years, after her mother bought one.

The rally is held in a different venue each year.
