Sunday and evening on-street parking charges in Oxford city centre will be reintroduced from today.
The charges on streets including St Giles, Parks Road, Broad Street and Beaumont Street were removed in December 2005 from 6.30pm Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday.
But Oxfordshire County Council has reintroduced them to “make savings and protect essential services”.
Charges vary from £2 flat rates for evenings and Sundays to daytime charges on Sunday in some streets.
Evening parking will remain free in High Street.
