Young and old Oxford residents will be sharing life lessons at a new weekly afternoon tea club.

Sixth form students from Magdalen College School will run the club together with Age UK Oxfordshire for elderly residents.

More than 180 students from the school offer their time every week in 70 community projects.

The latest project aims to attract retired neighbours who live on their own or whose families do not live locally.

The club will run weekly in the dining hall at Magdalen College School.

The school is aiming to organise film screenings, musical performances and sing-alongs, a book group, a craft corner and board games.

For more information call Kerry Reeves at Age UK Oxfordshire on 01235 849400.

Magdalen College School is easily accessible by bus, at the end of Cowley Place, off The Plain and opposite St Hilda’s College.
