A bike was stolen from an Oxford house while its owner looked on.
The black bike was stolen from Marlborough Road, South Oxford, at about 7am on Saturday.
The 26-year-old owner was at home when his wife saw a man walking past their bedroom window towards the front door.
She went to find out what he was doing and saw him riding off on her husband’s bicycle.
The thief was white, scruffy looking, aged in his 30s, about 5ft 5ins tall, slim, with dark greasy short hair.
He was wearing a light blue jeans jacket which was red at the front and had dark shoulders.
Pc Rebecca Froud said: “I am appealing for anyone who noticed a suspicious man in the area at the time of the incident, or if they have been offered a bike, or bike parts, that fit the description to contact police.”
Anyone with information should call police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
