A cocaine dealer who was caught with up to £1,550 worth of the Class A drug has been ordered to carry out community service.
Gary Bracey, 23, of Cherwell Avenue, Kidlington, had previously admitted one count of possession of cocaine with intent to supply and another of possession of the drug when he appeared before Oxford Crown Court yesterday.
Cameron Brown, prosecuting, said police found 32 wraps of white powder when they searched an address in Kidlington on November 25.
He said while officers were there, eight people knocked on the door asking for Bracey, and the telephone rang constantly.
Graeme Logan, defending, said Bracey got addicted to cocaine, had been taking it every day and his habit cost him £1,000 per fortnight.
Bracey was sentenced to 250 hours unpaid work for the community with a 12-month supervision order with a six month drug rehabilitation requirement.
