Reigning champions Chinnor FC (formerly Star & Garter) were beaten 6-3 at home by White Lion as the new Oxfordshire Men's Superleague swung into action.
Graham Manning lost the opening set for White Lion 3-2, despite hitting a maximum 180.
Kit Young (pictured) levelled the match by beating Nick Cobb 3-1.
Steve Foster also won 3-1 to put White Lion 2-1 ahead.
Terry Browne and Tommy Prpa both lost 3-1 to Alan Syphas and Peter Rouse (180) respectively as Chinnor edged ahead again.
But then White Lion roared to victory with Keith Bedding (22.70) and John Fowler (22.73) posting 3-1 wins before man of the match Olly Varney (25.05) notched a 3-0 win.
Keith 'Nobby' Clarke won the last set 3-1 to wrap up victory.
