A MASKED robber made off with cash after threatening staff at knifepoint at a bookmakers in Summertown, Oxford.
The robber threatened a woman working in the shop before taking another worker into a back room and forcing him to hand over a significant amount of cash from a safe.
The offender wore a balaclava and had a woollen hooded top with white piping on the sides.
He also wore distinctive light brown/beige checked trousers.
The robbery happened at 6.30pm on Tuesday, Sept 5.
Dc Leila Kennett, of Oxford CID, said: "This was a brazen incident and one which is very frightening for the victims.
"There would have been people in the street at that time of day as people made their way home.
"The offender was wearing very distinctive checked trousers and I hope someone would have seen him as he made his escape.
"We believe that the robber may have made off in the direction of the bypass."
Anyone with information can contact Dc Kennett on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
