IT’S music festival time once again in Adderbury as the village’s party in the park takes place tomorrow.

Organisers have secured a host of bands and singers to ensure the Lucy Plackett Playing Field in the village near Banbury, is alive with music from 2pm until 11pm.

Kicking off the festival will be 1960s and 1970s cover band Chain. Food, children’s fair rides, a raffle and stalls will also add to the mini-festival feel.

One of the organisers Linda Leslie said: “All performers give their services free and there is no admission charge.

“However, Party in the Park is expensive to stage and we rely on donations from local businesses, bucket collections, and our raffle to enable us to continue hosting this event.”

Last year’s event supported the Anthony Nolan Trust by helping to recruit potential bone marrow donors after villager Lauren Gladden needed a life-saving bone marrow transplant.

Miss Gladden, 24, who had Hodgkin’s lymphoma, had a successful operation in October.

She said: “I wanted to say a big thank-you to all of the party in the park supporters.”
