BICESTER has its own group of people who plan to make the town greener.
Grassroots Bicester was set up last September and so far has helped prevent about half a tonne of ‘rubbish’ going to landfill.
The group has launched freecycling events for people to give away unwanted items to save them going in the dustbin. Other schemes include a community orchard and garden share project bringing together landowners and gardeners.
