LITTLE Madison Southey and her friends showed off their dancing skills to help raise cash for a specialist wheelchair for her mum.
Nichola Southey who has ‘locked-in syndrome’ – like a coma – a serious asthma attack in October. Family and friends launched the £10,000 wheelchair appeal last month, so far raising more than £3,650.
Karen Holt, of Jay Close, Bicester, read about the appeal and organised a show with her daughter Demi’s dance school to raise funds.
On Saturday, dancers from the Marion Flanagan School of Irish Dance, which has classes in Bicester and Blackbird Leys, performed at the White Horse Pub, in Churchill Road, Bicester.
Mrs Holt said: “The dancers really enjoyed it.
“So far we have raised £75 but money is still coming in and hopefully we will raise a bit more.”
Madison, five, right, had only been learning Irish dancing for a few weeks before the show.
