DRIVERS are being warned to avoid the A40 after a car fire.
One lane of the London-bound carriageway just before Thame has been closed following the blaze this lunchtime.
Emergency workers are on the scene but traffic is building up.
A police spokesman said officers were expecting congestion to increase and advised motorists to find another route.
Recovery work is expected to continue until at least 2.15pm.
