Bicester Football Club secured their first victory in the Greene King ODDA Summer League by seeing off Premier Section opponents Goodlake Arms 6-3.
A brilliant start paved ther way for their success as Sean Holly, Keith Bedding, Joe Palmer and Andy Douglas all triumphed, Douglas hitting the week’s highest finish of 156.
Goodlake pulled one game back as Prebben Krabben (180) beat Dave Buckingham, but the home side restored their four-game advantage when Graham Manning defeated Kevin Barefoot, before Goodlake captured the pairs 2-1.
The Premier Section table has a familiar look about it, with Rileys sitting pretty at the top after their third success of the season, an 8-1 win over Kidlington Green A.
Cowley Workers made it three wins from three games in Section 2 when they triumphed 6-3 at Democrats Club.
George Bar were 6-3 victors at Bullnose Morris A in Section 3, with John Cole, Barry Wells and Jimmy Oram among their singles winners.
Vikings A recorded their first win of the season in grand style against the visiting Blackbird Bar, racing into a 5-0 lead before Alan Cox stopped the rot.
It was a short-lived success, however, as Vikings went on to take the pairs 3-0.
East Oxford Conservative Club entertained Section 4 rivals Bullnose Morris B and raced into a 3-0 lead before Bullnose pulled one back via Liam O’Callaghan.
Dave Hopkins made it 4-1 to the home side before Paul Simms reduced the arrears, but East Oxford’s 2-1 pairs victory sealed the verdict 6-3.
In the ladies league, Red Lion made a great start to their match at Donnington CC A through Carol Gasser, June Rouse and Ali Bateman, which set up an overall 6-3 victory.
