Mark Lavarack, Kit Young and Kevin Middleton gave Angel a great start, before the home side fought back viaMark Kerry, Mick Kennett and Trevor Ballard to make it all square.
A 3-0 pairs win proved the difference for Angel, who ran out 6-3 victors.

Newly-promoted Littlemore Rugby Club entertained Section 3 rivals Bullnose Morris A.
Colin Hinton gave Bullnose the lead, but the rugby men roared back as Stan Crawford, Mark Massingham, Dave Rudman and Andrew Scott put them 4-1 clear.
The visitors reduced the deficit and also took the pairs, 2-1, but could not prevent Littlemore from running out 5-4 winners.
Carl Pitson and Barry Wells gave George Bar a 2-0 lead over the visiting Donnington Community Centre B, but Dave Presley and Ashley Presley soon levelled.
George edged ahead 3-2 thanks to Andy Buckingham, only for Gary Cox to square it all up again.
In the end, it was Donnington who went on to clinch victory 5-4 thanks to a 2-1 success in the pairs.
Victories from Bruce Moore, Darren Moore and Danny Mobey, plus a 3-0 pairs win, gave Village Inn a 6-3 triumph over the visiting Catherine Wheel A.
Florence Park Community Centre B entertained Ladies Section 1 rivals Cherwell Club B and got off to a good start via Ann Clark.
The visitors levelled through Wendy Plowman and then Sue Simmonds made it 2-1 to Florence Park.
Hollie Lord and Gina Wheeler gave Cherwell the edge, only for Carol Bowman to square it up and Florence Park captured the pairs for a narrow 5-4 verdict.
Berinsfield Community Centre entertained Donnington Community Centre A in Section 2, Ann-Marie Busby, Kirsty Timbrell and Nina Chewings giving them them a 3-0 lead.
Rose Swanton pulled one back, but Jeanette Bowler and Caroline Howlett made it 5-1 lead and Berinsfield increased the score to 7-2 after a 2-1 pairs success.
