THERE are many ways that a young person can embark on a career in specialist cleaning and the hospitality management Industry.
For those who enjoy an academic way of life, there’s the chance to take different courses at college before trying to get on the job ladder.
Cyclone Ducting & Extraction SVS offered Shawn Roberts an apprentice programme with its company to give him the chance to undertake both education and training within our company.
This will prepare Shawn Roberts for his chosen career – effectively he will learn as he works, while receiving academic support from HIT (the training provider for the hospitality and leisure industry).
This, combined with training on the job, will provide Shawn with the skills and knowledge to develop his future career.
Shawn said: “I accepted the offer of an apprentice programme with Cyclone Services as it has given me the opportunity to learn within a company of my chosen trade.
I get the chance to meet and work with other technicians and on site on a daily basis.
“HIT encourage me to build on my academic skills for which they assess me at regular intervals.
“It is a fantastic opportunity for me to work, learn and to collect a qualification at the end of my term. I also get paid for undertaking a 12/24 month apprenticeship with Cyclone Services.”
