Blenheim Palace has added another award to its growing collection.
It has been voted the Most Coach Friendly Historic Attraction at the Belmont International UK Coach Awards beating competition from The Black Country Museum in Dudley, West Midlands and Chatsworth and Warwick castles.
The award is designed to recognise and reward historic attractions that have gone the extra mile to accommodate, attract and welcome coaches, drivers and their passengers.
More than 405 coach parties came to the palace in 2010, a rise of 23 per cent.
Hannah Payne, marketing manager for Blenheim Palace, said: “Our coach visitors are hugely valued at Blenheim Palace so it is wonderful to have received this award recognising the welcome and the excellence of customer service we work hard to provide.”
Blenheim Palace is the current Oxfordshire Business of the Year and also won the Green category at the West Oxfordshire Business Awards in March.
