The occupants of a house in Ridgefield Road, Cowley, escaped uninjured from a severe fire late on Monday evening.
When firemen arrived at the property shortly before 9:30pm, flames and smoke were already billowing out of the first floor bedroom window.
Crews from Rewley Road, Slade and Wheatley used breathing apparatus and high pressure hoses to tackle the blaze, while colleagues prevented the fire from spreading to neighbouring terraced houses.
Everyone escaped safely from the building. Police are now investigating the cause of the fire.
