Lewis Felton has taken up many column inches in the Oxford Mail.
He has developed an expansive criminal CV despite still only being 21 years old.
Felton has 25 convictions for 58 offences on a record that began when he was 12. yes, you read it right, 12.
However, his latest offence is particularly nasty.
Felton’s victim was a 22-year-old nursery worker on her way to school when he struck.
He repeatedly stamped on her face and smashed her head against a metal barrier until she eventually gave up her handbag.
This time it meant jail.
Four years ago the Oxford Mail reported: “Lewis Felton is clearly heading for a life of crime.”
In 2007, he was given an Antisocial Behaviour Order, so it would be fair to say he has been given every chance.
Tonight he is behind bars and there can be few in Blackbird Leys who are sorry.
Let us hope an adult prison is the wake-up call he needs to start his life afresh.
