A ONE-OFF night of old-fashioned variety drew in the crowds and raised hundreds of pounds for Sobell House Hospice.
Dance teacher Kirsty Beer, 20, from Cumnor, staged the show after learning that the hospice cared for Jack FM DJ Ali Booker, who died at the centre last year.
Saturday’s variety show, at the King’s Centre in Osney Mead, included dance, karate displays, and singers.
BMH Productions gave their take on Shakespeare, comedy act Cat and Wyne performed Let’s Do It and 12-year-old Charlee Pitts sang The Sound of Music.
The night raised more than £800 for the Churchill Hospital centre.
Miss Beer said: “It was wonderful that it all came together and everyone did really well and raised lots of money.
“It was the first time I’ve organised something like this but we are hoping to do it again next year.”
