FLEDGLING entrepreneurs from a county school decided to give the ultimate boost to their business by setting up a meeting with the Prime Minister.
The team, which runs young enterprise company Linx, based at Bloxham School, travelled to David Cameron’s Witney constituency office to display a range of Scrabble-inspired jewellery they have developed.
Managing director Rebecca Jardine, 17, said: “Everyone was a bit star-struck at first, as we were surrounded by Mr Cameron’s assistants and bodyguards.
“But he immediately put us at ease with his light-hearted sense of humour.
“As well as benefiting our company, it was great for young enterprise as a whole.”
To thank Mr Cameron, the team presented him with Scrabble-style cufflinks made into the letters ‘P’ and ‘M’ which he promised to wear at Prime Minister’s Question Time.
The pupils have been running Linx since last September with the aim of learning what it is like to set up and run a business.
